The Turkish Urology Seminars is the official publication of the Turkish Association of Urology for educational purpose. The manuscripts are planned by Guest Editors determined by the Editorial Board and published following the supervision of the Associate Editor and Editorial Board.

The language of the journal is Turkish. The Turkish manuscripts should be written in accordance with the Turkish Linguistic Society dictionary of Turkish and spelling. The Editorial Board reserves the right to request authors to revise or rewrite their manuscripts, in case of improper use of language.

The instructions for authors are prepared in accordance with The Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts Submitted to Biomedical Journals - International Committee of Medical Journal Editors, available at
http://www.icmje.org. Manuscripts that are considered for publication must not have been published elsewhere and should be approved by the Guest Editor and Editorial Board.

Manuscript File

Manuscripts should be typed double-spaced on A4-sized paper with 2.5cm right and left margins. Each page should be numbered consecutively. The text should be written in 12-point Times New Roman font.

A manuscript file should include the following sections, respectively:

1. Title (Turkish)
2. Title (English)
3. Abstract in Turkish (maximum 1.000 characters-without spaces)
4. Abstract in English (maximum 1.000 characters-without spaces)
5. Keywords in Turkish (3-5 keywords in alphabetical order)
6. Keywords in English (3-5 keywords in alphabetical order)
7. The full name(s), highest academic degree(s), and affiliation(s) of author(s)
8. Name, postal address, phone and fax numbers, and e-mail address of corresponding author
9. The main text (maximum 20.000 characters-without spaces)

Figures, Tables and Illustrations

Figures, tables and illustrations (pictures, drawings, photographs, device images etc.) should be numbered consecutively within the text and submitted as a separate file. Image files should be in JPEG format with high resolution at least 300 dpi. Magnification and staining technique should be indicated in microscopic images. Abbreviations should be explained under the each figure, table and illustration.

An Important Note: For the use of copyrighted materials (figures, tables or illustrations, etc.) authors must obtain written permission from the copyright holders and inform the editorial board about this condition. Legal responsibility belongs to the authors and Turkish Association of Urology reserves the right to reflect the legal enforcement and sanctions arising from this issue for the Journal to the authors. The authors approve in advance the legal responsibility and probable legal outcomes on this issue by submitting their manuscripts and related supplements.

References

References should be numbered and cited consecutively in the text in paranthesis after the full stop without space (For example: ……lymph node dissection has been suggested.(1)). Unpublished data and personal communications should not be cited as a reference. Direct use of references is strongly recommended and the author may be asked to provide full-text of the cited references, which cannot be confirmed, prior to publication. Journal titles should be abbreviated according to the Index Medicus; otherwise, the full name of the journal should be indicated. If the number of authors is six or fewer, all authors should be listed; if there are more than six authors, list the first six authors followed by “et al.”. The style and punctuation of the references should follow the formats outlined below (publication month and issue number in parenthesis should not be typed):

Editorial Responsibilities and Right of Interference

The Associate Editor and Editorial Board members reserve the right to edit the manuscripts not in compliance with the instructions for authors without changing the content.
